Kirsty Fought Like Hell—Now Let’s Kick Cancer’s Ass Together!
Kirstys funeral on Tuesday was beautiful but I cannot stop crying and can’t believe she’s gone.
Please, I urge you to help me fulfill one more of her dreams to give these charities every penny we can.
To also help me stay in our home.
As I am disabled, I cannot afford this house without a little help which Kirsty would want.
Saturday , I spent all morning with Kirsty at the funeral directors.
I talked to her, held her in my arms, stroked her arms and hands and gave her my final kiss on her cheeks. It goes without saying I haven’t stopped crying since leaving her.
Thank you for the donations already received. We need to keep this going, not just for help with the costs but the more we get, the more Marie Curie and the Springer Spaniel Dog Rescue will get and be able to help so many more.
This is the GoFundMe link:
I am Tracie, Kirsty’s partner.
I’m writing this with a heavy heart and a fierce spirit because my amazing partner, Kirsty, just lost her battle against cancer. At only 48, she faced an enemy that refused to back down, but she fought like a warrior every step of the way.
Kirsty’s journey started ten years ago with a battle that seemed won, only for cancer to strike back harder than ever. A blood clot revealed lung, pelvic, and stomach cancer, and though the diagnosis was devastating, Kirsty never let it steal her fight. Through every round of palliative chemotherapy, she held onto hope and love for those around her.
She was my rock and my hero, enduring unimaginable pain with grace and strength. I had the privilege of caring for her at home, supported by the incredible team at Marie Curie, who treated us like family. When the pain became unbearable, we made the gut-wrenching choice to move her to hospice care. I stayed by her side, cherishing every moment until the end.
Kirsty was a beacon of kindness, always lifting others up, so compassionate & helped many of her friends financially.
Now it’s our turn and in her honour, I’m launching this GoFundMe to raise funds for Marie Curie, the organisation that stood by us in our darkest moments.
We need your help to continue the fight!
Please consider donating to support their vital work for families facing this brutal battle. Your generosity will not only honor Kirsty’s legacy but also help others who are still in the ring with cancer.
She also wanted to give some of the donations to the Dog Rescue Services. She loved her dogs so much and I hope the one we lost, Boo Boo Bear is looking after her.
Thank you for standing with us in this fight. Life without Kirsty will never be the same, but I know she’d want us to keep swinging for those in need.
With all my love and gratitude,
Tracie ❤️
