I'm fundraising for my cousin Kirstie and her little boy Reggie.

Recently (night of the 23/01 into the early hours of 24/01) the upstairs flat to Kirstie left a tap running for hours this resulted in the upstairs flat being flooded and proceeded to literally rain through the ceiling into Kirstie’s flat.

She awoke at 1:30am to use the toilet to find water just spilling out of all areas of her ceiling into the flat. At 3am they had to be fully evacuated by the fire team out of the flat because the water was getting into the electrics.

As you can imagine this was a very distressing moment not only for her but also Reggie! The damage the leak has done to their belongings is beyond unsalvageable.

Her bed is ruined, Reggie’s bed is ruined, their sofa, their TV, curtains, toys, shoes, clothes etc. The list is endless!

I’m not about to start slandering people over the internet, but if you know Kirstie you’ll be fully aware of her housing situation and how much of a safeguarding concern it is for her and Reggie to even be living there! - not that the council seem to care

Why must someone else’s stupid and reckless actions affect good people?!

Kirstie and Reggie don’t deserve this and because of those stupid actions they have lost so many of their belongings due to the water damage.

Unfortunately Kirstie does not have housing insurance, so even though it’s no fault of hers Kirstie as a single parent will have to pay out for new beds, furniture etc.

If anyone is willing to spare anything or donate I would be incredibly grateful!!
