Friends, family, and neighbors, I am asking if we can come together as a community to support a dear friend, mother, sister, wife and daughter during her battle with breast cancer. Kirsten was diagnosed with stage 2b invasive ductal carcinoma after she found a 5.7-centimeter lump on June 27th, 2022.

Kirsten is currently on her 8th and final round of aggressive chemotherapy. After the final round of chemotherapy, Kirsten plans to have a double mastectomy in December. A month after that, she will start five weeks of radiation every day, and a month after that, she will begin hormone therapy for the next ten years. Six months after radiation, Kirsten will have reconstruction surgery for implants. Kirsten has the BRCA2 + gene, so she will have to have a hysterectomy within the next five years.

This fundraiser will help Kirsten with her medical costs as she will be on medical leave for most of her recovery. She will continue to be monitored and plans to keep you all updated throughout her journey. Kirsten didn't ask me to do this, this fundraiser has been something that has been weighing on my heart, and I want to help in some way. I believe that we are stronger together as a community and can make a difference. Together we can help Kirsten and her family during this difficult time and road ahead.
