Our dearest friend Kirsten Wackford Clement was recently diagnosed with Follicular Stage 4 Grade 3b, Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. For purposes of this introduction in simplest terms Cancer, an aggressive form that only came about in three short months.
Kirsten is no stranger to serious illness, a mother of two, her son Lukas at age eleven was diagnosed with type one diabetes. Her unwavering dedication to see her son through this proved that it is survivable. Now at age 25 Lukas is a medical researcher currently working on the Corona Virus while still dealing with an illness that will most likely be with him for the rest of his life. This proves that the old saying that a mother’s love knows no bounds is true, alive and well today.
So, for those of you who may have had a stint with Cancer, have or had a family member or friend that has had to deal with any type of Cancer know all too well that along with the physical and mental demands put upon us with this disease also comes the financial.
Kirsten is currently unable to work as a professional nanny to four young children, two of whom are 6-year-old twins who she’s had in her care since birth. Family and friends have stepped in to help her try to make ends meet with the usual financial burdens such as rent, car payments and keeping food on the table.
But it’s not enough. The financial burden associated with Cancer treatment or any serious illness is unimaginable. So, with that we are going to ask a few things of you all as there is strength in numbers.
First, if you’re able to donate, no matter how much every little bit helps, thank you. If you’re unable because we all know that during this pandemic many are also under financial stress as well from job loss etc., please keep her and everyone who’s battling any type illness in your prayers. And finally, please pass this post onto your networks, again there is strength in numbers.
Thank you all for your time and consideration. God bless. We hope to keep seeing you all on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn and above all stay safe as we all navigate through this pandemic together.
Sincerely,
Nina Wackford Angelina, RN
