Kirsten Carlberg Apartment Fire

I am posting this on behalf of my niece Kirsten. On November 17 (her birthday)a fire broke out in her Hamilton Heights apartment building. Luckily her roommate was home and able to evacuate with Kirstens beloved cat Polly. Unfortunately nothing else. FDNY says it might be weeks until it finishes investigating and her renters insurance will not pay for her lost stuff until they do. At this point she has nothing. The insurance company has temporarily put her in a hotel. She will have to find a new place to live and with that comes the expenses of security deposits etc. Kirsten is currently attending Columbia University for her Masters in Public Health. She is a hardworking but poor college student so I am asking for some help.
