Hi, my name is Franciska Somogyi. I just turned 14 yrs old and I'm studying to become a ballerina, and I absolutely Love ballet. I started ballet when I was 7 yrs old and since, I have dedicated my time and life to do ballet. I train more than 16 hours a week. I have competed for the the first time in YAGP. I recently auditioned for the Kirov Academy of Ballet summer intensive and have been accepted, with a partial scholarship. I am raising money for the tuition and dormitory fees required to attend this summer program. By studying under the training of this academy, and its teachers, I have the ability to better myself and excel at what I love. My dreams are to pursue dancing professionally and this program will lead me down the path I must follow to achieve success in what I am most passionate about.
Last year I attended the Kirov Academy summer program, and I absolutely Loved it! Form the everyday hours of just dancing to learning all its history of dance. I have progressed and learned so much from my teachers there. I also had a sponsor, for my ballet, who recently passed away. I couldn't have thanked him enough to have helped me to get where I am now and to make it possible for me to attend last year.

As a result of your recent audition, I would like to invite you to the Kirov Academy of Ballet 2019 Summer Intensive Program with a 25% artistic scholarship. In addition, I am inviting you to our 2019 Year-Round Program, of which you will be evaluated for scholarship during the summer. We would like you to join our elite six-week program where you will have the advantage of professional training with our world-renowned teachers. The deep technical and artistic study will strengthen your foundation and improve your technique to prepare you to enter the ballet world with confidence and technical know-how.

Congratulations for receiving an invitation to Kirov Academy of Ballet's 2019 prestigious Summer Intensive Program with a 25% artistic scholarship and invitation to the 2019 Year-Round Program because of your recent audition. I will be sending more information about our 2019 Year-Round program in the coming months.
The Summer Intensive Program at Kirov Academy of Ballet of Washington, DC is a 6-week course with intensive ballet training in the Vaganova method along with other dance styles to provide students with a summer of diverse dance education with some of the finest instructors from around the world.
Kirov Academy has Room and Board available for those who would like to take advantage of that, along with a 24/7 residential program offering daily activities such as crafts, games, movie nights, and shopping trips. There are also opportunities for touring many of Washington, DC’s famous sites and museums.
The fees are as follows:
Enrollment Fee:
$400 (NON-REFUNDABLE), due with Enrollment Contract
A deposit of $1,500 towards the summer program fees to be submitted at the time of enrollment
Artistic Fees:
$4,680 - 6 weeks
$2,340 - 3 weeks
Optional Room and Board:
$3,000 - 6 weeks
$1,500 - 3 weeks
