This past week, on December 27, our best friend Margo Steinhaus and her brother Torey unexpectedly lost their father Kirk, just four months after the passing of their mother.

In November, Kirk was admitted to the ICU for sepsis. This hospital stay led to the discovery of kidney failure, and the decision to put Kirk on permanent dialysis. A day after having been discharged from the hospital, Kirk coded during dialysis. Before the EMTs could arrived, he had passed away.

Kirk had shared his end-of-life wishes before he passed, which is to be laid to rest next to his beloved late wife, and for his friends and loved ones to celebrate his life at Skaja Funeral Home in Niles, IL
