Dear Friends,
We are starting this "go fund me" to help with the tragic event that happened on 12/27/2016. Our hearts are heavy to say that Dustin Alan Kirk has passed away.
Dustin was a son, brother, father, and friend. As all of our lives are, his was for a purpose even if part of that purpose is to tell his story and save other lives. Dustin had many good things that happened in his life, things people loved about him, and the qualities he had, which should never be forgotten. As time went on into adulthood he had some deep seeded issues and dark roads he couldn’t seem to overcome. That is why the Kirk Family wants to reach out to people who have addictions, and lovingly encourage them to seek help and not continue down a road that only leads to darkness and despair. There is always hope, and no legacy needs to be one of devastation for loved ones left behind. Let Dustin’s death be a wakeup call and encouragement to seek help.
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.
My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one".
John10:27-30
Because of the travesty of Dustin's death, his family is in need of financial help to fix the many damages on the house from that horrible night. Also for a family member's vehicle that was damaged in the event (who is now without a vehicle). There is also a need for professional, crisis counseling for the family members. And most of all, Dustin has left behind an amazing and wonderful daughter who will need support. The family needs help from their community in moving forward after such a heartbreaking event. The family has said their main goal is to reach people in need, and if they can help even one person who struggles with addiction, then it would be worth getting this tragic story out there. Any financial contributions will help this dear family that has lost one of their own. The family never condoned any of his wrong doings and always hoped for better for him. Dustin was loved and will be missed, and will continue to be in their hearts and minds forever.
