After Hurricane Irma passed through their city, Vanessa and Kirk, felt somewhat accomplished that they had weathered their first storm as newlyweds. They got married on September 1st, and looked forward to a long future together.
Neither of them would have ever imagined that less than two weeks later, on September 12th, that Kirk would suffer a stroke. Even in their state of complete disbelief, reality soon set in that a major financial strain was looming. In addition to the medical expenses, the neurologist has advised that Kirk would have to be out of work for quite some time as he heals.
The prayers and support received have been tremendous and the decision to move ahead with this fund was made at the behest of their many friends and family.
