Dear Family & Friends,
God has given me the opportunity to travel with Mission Discovery, to Bulembu, Swaziland in July 2017 to serve and minister to the families of this village. Once there, on the work project we will clean, paint and bring to life abandoned homes to be used for over 2000 orphans. These homes will house 8 orphans each, along with a foster dad, mom, and grandmother. We will also tutor children, help with homework, and minister each afternoon.
First, here is a little about Bulembu;
On the border that separates South Africa from Swaziland is the community of Bulembu. Once a thriving mining town, Bulembu was abandoned in 2001 along with its hospital and 1,200 homes. A group of individuals purchased the town with a grand vision; the advancement of God’s kingdom in Swaziland. This is being achieved by renovating as many homes as necessary to house 2,000 children orphaned by the AIDS pandemic of Swaziland, teach AIDS awareness, and have self-sustaining community through the start-up of various cottage industry initiatives. Swaziland has the highest percentage of AIDS of any country in the world.
I ask you to prayerfully consider joining my team through your support. First, please partner with me in praying for the people we will be serving, for my health and effectiveness as a team member, and for the many details of this mission trip. Pray that lives will be changed and hearts will be won for God. Second, please consider supporting me financially for this outreach. I will need to raise $4,000 in order to be able to make the trip and serve the people of Bulembu. Each person that gives toward this mission work is part of the missionary team and I thank you from the bottom of my heart, you are literally changing lives through your giving and thoughtfulness.
