My Uncle Kirby is a fun loving man with a big heart and has always been like a second father to me. He is an avid outdoors man and lives for days on the lake with a fishing rod in his hand and nights around the fire with the people he loves most.
In the summer of 2014 he unexpectedly lost his only son, Richard. Two and a half years later in the winter of 2017 he also unexpectedly lost his best friend and brother, Gord.
On the night of March 19th my Uncle Kirby and his girlfriend, Shawna (who just got back on her feet after losing her home in the Fort McMurray fires) lost absolutely everything in a devastating house fire. The entire inside of the home was destroyed and there was nothing left to salvage. Although their sentimental keepsakes are irreplaceable, they are now left with only the clothes on their backs.
We are hoping to raise a little bit of money just to help with initial cost of the bare nececities and living expenses.
