Kira's Semester Studying in Dublin!
Hello! Thank you for taking a look at my GoFundMe page!
On September 4, 2019, I will be flying to Dublin, Ireland to attend Technological University Dublin for the fall 2019 semester for a study abroad. I will be taking the equivalent of 15 credits from the College of Business, and will be staying from September to January.
I am creating a GoFundMe page because a grant I was offered fell through last minute. I am now several thousand dollars short of the financial goal I had set with only one month to recover the lost funds. The money raised from this page will be put towards my student fees, textbooks, groceries in Dublin, travel costs, and insurance. If you prefer to send funds via Venmo, my username is @Kira-Knapp.
Though I had hoped to have funded this opportunity on my own, I understand that it is okay to ask for help when necessary! There were many friends and family members who encouraged me to create this page, and I appreciate the love and support I have received from everyone regarding this adventure. Any and all contributions are appreciated more than you know, and I'm happy to bring back Irish gifts as a "Thank You"! If you cannot donate to this page, prayers and good thoughts are just as appreciated!
For some academic background, this will be my eighth and final semester of undergraduate work. As a student at SUU, I have maintained a 3.96 GPA and received awards from my professors for the caliber of my work. I will graduate after this semester with a degree in Hotel, Resort, and Hospitality Management and a minor in Shakespeare Studies. I have worked three simultaneous jobs for the last year in Cedar City, completed a semester at the Disney College Program in 2017, and thoroughly enjoyed pushing myself within the Delta Psi Omega sorority all four years of college. This semester abroad is the cherry on top of an incredibly college experience, and I cannot wait to share this adventure with everyone!
Should you have any other questions about how I will be using these funds or my plans for the semester, PLEASE reach out. I would love to discuss this opportunity with you! Again, thank you for taking the time to read about my semester abroad and for supporting me as this dream becomes a reality!
