Acting Summer Intensive

Hi,

My name is Kira and I've been performing since I was three years old. My story is pretty miraculous as I spent the first 27 months of my life in a Russian orphanage. I suffered from severe Strabismus so I could only walk a few steps before I would fall. I didn't know very many Russian words and absolutely no English but I loved to sing.

My parents started me in dance to help me with my gross motor skills... who knew it would lead to a performing arts passion.

Eleven years later, I sing in my school's show choir, study dance 5 days a week, work weekly with my voice coach and have appeared in numerous plays. After seeing a presentation about Interlochen Center for the Arts, I knew I had to apply. I am delighted to share that I was accepted into the program and will travel to Interlochen, MI for three weeks this summer.

I am writing to ask if you would consider financially supporting me this summer. Your support would go towards my room, board, tuition, travel and uniforms.

If you decide to contribute to my summer education, I will keep you up to date with videos and pictures of my progress and inform you of any opportunity to attend performances.
