Hello there,

My name is Marc and I am writing this on behalf of my partner Kira Hawkridge. Some of you reading this may know that Kira has been navigating health concerns over the past year. We have kept a lot of this journey private over this time and we have been so grateful for and supported by our wonderful family and friends.

This road has had quite a few bumps in it over the last year including multiple emergency room visits and countless doctors appointments. All of this has led to some difficult news - Kira has been diagnosed with Endometrial Cancer.

We received this news and took some much needed time to digest and navigate a pathway forward. The first stage of this diagnosis required Kira to undergo immediate surgery and she is currently at home recovering. Kira's medical team has been fantastic and very supportive. There is still a lot that we do not know and are learning at this stage as we are working to navigate so many ups and downs, but we are hopeful there is a pathway forward to healing and health in the not so distant future.

Having just gone through a diagnosis of Hodgkin's Lymphoma and 6 months of chemotherapy treatment a year and a half ago myself, I have now taken on the role of caretaker for Kira as she did for me just a year and a half ago. Kira is the kindest and most caring person I have ever met, and has handled this diagnosis and preliminary treatment with openness and a willingness to take on whatever is thrown her way. I truly admire her wonderful spirit and the way in which she engages with and holds space for those in her life. She is the love of my life and I truly appreciate all of you and your support of her.

I am writing this to ask that you support her and her journey through this diagnosis and treatment with any monetary support that you may be able to contribute. Please know that any gift is truly appreciated and will go directly towards Kira's journey through treatment and recovery.
