Friends, thank you for your support - we really appreciate it. I have spoken to some of you directly but for those I haven't, my younger brother who is near and dear to me was hit by a car close to 7 weeks ago now in Austin Texas, which unfortunately landed him in ICU for about a week followed by general observation. Thankfully he seems to have escaped major injuries and the initial operation he was scheduled to have on his head to reduce the brain swelling was cancelled as there was dramatic improvement over a couple of days. He however, had to have a few operations on his right leg to repair the calf muscle. He is fairly immobile at the moment and this will take a few months to recover with a bit of physiotherapy. Overall, we are thankful and my brother is in good spirits and looking forward to full recovery. We are now making arrangements to provide him this support over the next few months. 

With the healthcare system being what it is in the US, unfortunately this has meant a hefty bill as my brother is currently limitedly covered. I am therefore, reaching out to a few close friends to join me in helping defray a bit of the costs which will come to approximately £60k total (£20k for recovery & support over the next few months and £40k for the hospital bill already incurred). We are pushing for the medical bill already incurred to be discounted and will also be following up with insurance so my immediate goal is to raise the £20k which will aid in the recovery for my brother. I really appreciate you standing with us during this period.
