Hi, my name is Kiore. I came to Hartford through an AmeriCorps service program, where I worked as an art teacher and created healing-centered events rooted in love, resilience, and community. While I gave my all to the school and the church that housed me, I wasn’t met with the same care in return. After experiencing unfair treatment, I’ve been asked to leave earlier than expected and now need to move out by April 30. With no nearby family and limited resources, I’m doing everything I can to stay grounded and continue the work I’ve started here. I’m asking for support to help me transition into safe, stable housing—whether through a donation, a share, or simply spreading the word. Your support means the world to me and will help me continue walking in purpose with dignity and hope.
Your support will help me cover the cost of housing, basic living expenses, and transportation while I transition into safe, stable housing. It’ll also give me space to continue the community-centered work I’ve started here in Connecticut without being in survival mode.
