In July 2014, our daughter Kinsley, had been experiencing severe leg pains that would have a sudden onset with sharp excruciating pains that would often at times leave her in the fetal position. After two weeks from the beginning of the pains, Kinsley started limping when she walked or run playing with other children. This was not our normal little girl. That limp became constant the following week and she would hobble while running. We took her to her PCP and x-rays and lab work-ups were ordered. Then the news came they found what looked like a tumor in her left knee. A CT scan and then later a sedated MRI revealed a tumor ,chondrobladtomia, under her left knee cap. The doctors revealed they did not think the tumor looked cancerous but to be sure it must come out and biopsy would give us the 100% affirmation we needed. Kinsley had her tumor excision and biopsy done in August. With donor tissue added back into her knee for healing. We finally received word the tumor was not cancerious . All the testing, referrals to different doctors and ultimately seeing an pediatric orthopedic oncologist for the surgery at Vanderbilt has been expensive. Especially since Kinsley has been newly diagnosed with Celiac Disease and her two younger siblings have also had to be hospitalized for RSV and Pneumonia complications . One sibling had a biopsy done of his stomach to confirm his Celiac Disease. It has been one rough year, having 3 children hospitalized and a tumor removal. Our faith has been tested during this time but made our faith in God so much stronger! We would appreciate prayers, and help of any form to get this behind us.As of February 3, 2015 Kinsley started having sudden on sets of pain now presenting in the right leg . This comes 6 months after the removal of the tumor in her left leg. X-rays and sedated MRI confirmed our worse fears. A new tumor has emerged and now in the right leg. This time it is more intense and the severity of pain has admitted her to the hospital. We are awaiting a new surgery date to get this tumor removed and get some answers.
