Kinslahger brewer's family in Jamaica needs help
Donation protected
On behalf of Kinslahger Brewing - we are asking you to help our lead brewer and one of the best humans we know, Russhane Dawkins. Russhane's family in Jamaica is working to pick up the pieces of their lives following the impact of Hurricane Beryl and rebuild from its devastation. Currently their situation is tenuous...they have one room not completely exposed to the elements.
We're raising funds to help them repair their roof and the associated interior damage!
Russhane’s hometown was in the worst possible location during Beryl as the eyewall of the category 4 hurricane directly hit the area. His family's home lost its roof and had extensive water damage inside the home. Russhane’s family is now relying on a neighbor's portable generator for occasional access to power. They are without adequate shelter and the family has only their own limited resources to try to recover and rebuild!
In terms of local assistance available, the news is not great. Non-perishable food items are getting through, but the prospect of meaningful government aid for recovery is unlikely at best and homeowners insurance doesn’t exist for normal folks in Jamaica.
Please help us support Russhane's family as they try to rebuild after such total devastation.
