Hi, I’m Liz Deep-Jones, journalist & emerging photographer, raising funds for a new photographic & mixed media exhibition in collaboration with amazing Wiradjuri woman / Stolen Generation survivor - Brenda Matthews (featured pic) bravely sharing her extraordinary and important Australian story of being forcibly removed at just 2 years of age with her 6 siblings from her Aboriginal birth parents & then removed from her foster white family at 7 years of age. “I share this story out of love and forgiveness.” says Brenda This story is of heartbreak, love, resilience, forgiveness, hope & reconciliation is for all Australians. We’ve joined the AusArt Day 2026 fundraiser to help us reach our target and deliver an incredible exhibition - storytelling art fusion of photography, installations, film & truth telling!
