Family and Friends,
Kenneth Traylor, who formerly worked for Alachua County Department of the Jail, NFETC, Santa Fe College Police Department, Department of Juvenile Justice, Department of Corrections; and currently works at UF Health Shands / Springhill Security. Some of you may know him as Ken, KT, (“Kinney or “Kenny”), but whatever you may call him, he needs your help!
On September 25th, COVID-19 affected our entire household. On October 3, 2020, Kinney was diagnosedwith COVID-19. He went into the hospital and our lives changed. Ken became extremely sick with COVID-19 with complications from COVID Pneumonia and Kidney Failure. Then Lungs faliure and Ken was placed in amedically induced coma.
During his treatment, Ken took a turn for the worst and his wife, Wanda, was told he was not going to make it. But God has turned it around and because of the fighter that Ken is, he has not given up. Doctors are working aggressively to fight this series of illnesses Ken has been battling! Ken was placed on the ECMO ventilator machine, a dialysis machine, and for life support a pacemaker was placed in his heart, It is now three and a half weeks later and Ken is still fighting! He has a long road ahead of him and a lot of rehabilitation after he finally comes home. As we prepare for his recovery at home, We must plan to make sure things at home are set up to assist him in fully recovering.
Fighting COVID-19 is not just a physical and emotional fight, but a financial fight as well. That is where his supporters come in. Ken (KT) Kinney has worked, grown up, and been a friend to many. Ken has supported and mentored many young people and is just an all-around guy. Can we now give back to Ken?
On my behalf of Kenny’s wife, we ask that you please help us raise money to ease the financial burden of completing a home improvement project to prepare for Ken’s return home! For example, Ken needs a walk-in shower placed in our home so when he is finally in recovery and rehabilitation, he can maneuver properly in his current condition. He is not able to work right now and his health insurance is awfully expensive. There are many out of pocket expenses that Ken’s insurance does not cover. So, we ask for your prayers and your financial support.
