Kingston's Journey: 622 Days in NICU
Donation protected
On December 9th, 2023, the Bryant family moved into a chapter of their life they would have never imagined was coming. Kaycee (mom), at 25 weeks pregnant, had to have an emergency C-section to deliver their baby boy. She was diagnosed with Preeclampsia and HELLP Syndrome and had been hospitalized a few days prior to delivering. The chances of Kingston surviving were slim to none, and Kaycee had a major scare herself. Both were able to come out of delivery and begin the journey of being in the NICU. Kingston was born at 25 weeks gestation, weighing 455 grams, just at 1 pound. Now, after a LONG 622 days, trach, ventilator, and G-tube dependent, Kingston will be coming HOME! Kaycee has had to spend those 622 days trying to balance home life with Kris (dad) and two siblings, Darian (15) and Arianna (10), meanwhile being with Kingston in the hospital and juggling being in college.
Kris has been home, working, trying to provide for their family and keep their home afloat since Kaycee has been unable to work. Although, during major events, surgeries, and emergencies, Kris has had to take several days off to be there with Kaycee. By the grace of God, they have been able to make it through what seemed like a never-ending rollercoaster. Having Kingston home will give them so much relief and comfort that he will now be able to join the family outside of the hospital. Their story isn’t over; it’s just moving into the next chapter!
As a friend and the mother of Arianna, I would like to set this up for Kris and Kaycee to help relieve them of past and any future financial burdens they may have.
