6-8ft Diamondback rattlesnake bite shows itself after swelling subsided! (5/3)


Definitely, not one to ask for anything unless it's for charity, but after one sunny Saturday...my mother found her King Shepherd (purebred but we say king because of his size!) in immediate distress after being bitten by a rattlesnake. This is just days after her Cattahoola Sydney was attacked by a coyote and my dog Dulce experienced onion toxicity.

As you can see, all these hospitalizations add up and we're asking for any kind donations that can help keep Samson alive! It's her protector, her friend and above all her fur baby and a part of my family! Right now he is experiencing acute kidney injury, bleeding and swelling...not to mention excruciating pain!

After 4 (updated on 5/2) vials of antivenom AND COUNTING (he needs up to 6), fluids, lab draws, ultrasounds and more the vet bill is approaching a whopping $7,000 and still going up as he is still in ICU. (updated to $12,000.00  on 5/4)

You may think it's not worth it but for us, our pets are like humans and we'll do anything for them, as they'd die for us if we were in danger. He needs more antivenom because he is large and slowly responding to it but it's not enough and a vial of antivenom is $700.

(He received another type of Antivenin that has been the most effective updated on 5/3).

We are in dire need to get him the best care and need help tonight.

We'd be forever grateful for any amount of help! He's admitted to the ICU at  VHA  in Winter Haven!
