Our son Callum was born with a liver disease, BILIARY ATRESIA a liver disease (which is not common) at 5 weeks old he had to have an operation called the KASAI.
He would have regular check ups at kings college hospital to keep an eye on how he was doing which we was always grateful he seen to always be doing good in terms of having biliary atresia.
until recently he has been diagnosed with, CIRRHOSIS SECONDARY TO CHOLESTASIS. Callum is now on a liver transplant waiting list, as this is attacking Callum’s body he is now in and out of hospital and on lots of medication which at the minute are in place to try keep him stable until he gets a liver transplant and there is no cure for this other then a liver transplant.
Therefore, we are setting this page up to try and raise money for king’s college charity to try help people who are going though the same or similar situation to our son Callum
Callum if able to, and some of his friends and family members are going to walk (SNOWDON WATKIN PATH) on the 19th of September 2026 to try and raise money for the liver transplant team in king’s college hospital for all the great work they do for many people
Any contributions would be much appreciated. Kings college charity covers many different departments. There are many charities under this umbrella so we will be contacting them when the money is raised to make sure that it is sent directly to the liver department in the hospital . This is the Listen transplant charity- THE LISTEN FUND D2173 .
