The Why:

Acceptance, Love, and hope for all, through basketball, that is the passion that I've come to discover through the paths that my life has taken. With a vision to become a global and fulfilling representation of God's love on earth, through loving people and connecting to the unconnected. I have found one way I do this best is through the sport I love, Basketball.
Kings Basketball Camp will focus towards the less privileged and hopeless kids between 10-18 years of age, to teach them not only basketball skills but also life skills, good morals, importance of education, Christ love, and most of all, spread the message of hope and help them understand that they are a vital piece of God's plan.
My name is Kingsley Anacheluniwa. I was born in Abuja, Nigeria with four sisters and played in the Nigeria Junior national basketball U16 and U18. I Moved to the United State at the age of thirteen and through a series of events, graduated high school from Lenawee Christian School in 2014. I am currently studying Welding Technology Engineering at Ferris State University and have two years left in the program.

My passion for Kings Basketball Camp is an inspiration that started when i was a kid; in the midst of my hardship as a child, I found hope through attending basketball camps and pursuing basketball to my utmost capabilities. After experiencing these camps and discovering this passion of mine, my life was never the same.

The reason why I have decided to start this camp is because God wrote my story in a way that enables me to relate to others like me, and I feel as though He has strongly put this vision on my heart. I know that my life story thus far and the ways God has worked in it will be an inspiration for these kids, as I was once in their position.
The first Kings Basketball Camp will be held in Abuja, Nigeria during the first two weeks of summer 2019. The reason for this location is because of my familiarity with the area and its high concentration of children who could benefit from it. I also have a mentor in Nigeria who is in ministry work and will be helping me with much of the organization of the camp.
My hope for this camp is to positively uplift and empower theses kids in a way that their life can reflect on other kids around them
