King-Our Hero

I am writing to you all as a heartbroken mother in desperate need of assistance for my dog, King. King is the most gentle and loving pit bull you could ever meet, and even our vet can attest that he’s been their best patient despite facing unimaginable pain.

Today, my home was broken into while my son was upstairs. King courageously protected our home and my son from three intruders. In the process of defending our home, the intruders shot King through his eye. The bullet exited through his jaw, leaving him severely injured but still determined to protect us.

King now urgently needs surgery for his eye and jaw, but the estimated cost is $10,000—far beyond what I can afford, especially with the holidays approaching. As a mother, I’m doing everything I can to hold my family together, but I cannot bear the thought of losing King after everything he has done for us.
