King Butler Jr. Homegoing and family support
Donation protected
On February 15th, King Solomon Butler Jr. went to be with our Lord in his forever home. This was completely unexpected and a tragic loss for his family and loved ones.
If you ever had the privilege of meeting King, the first things you would know about him is he was a man of God, he loved his guitars, loved his family, was proud of his three sons, doted on his grandchildren and was madly in love with his Queen Mary.
We all knew he was a phone call away if they ever needed a head cold remedy, a concoction on how to remove slime from the carpets, questions on how to repair things around the house. We also knew we could call if we wanted some of the best BBQ and smoked chicken or some boiled peanuts. He was also proud to be from Florida and felt blessed to make Washington his home for the last 30+ years.
For the last 15 years, he has been walking alongside Mary as they have kept the Snohomish County Toys for Tots ministry going. From driving the bus to pick up donations, late nights, early morning shopping and the constant moving, he did it with a smile and was proud to serve the community.
King raised his family with strong beliefs and faith. Believing in God and trusting him is what will get the Butler family through this trying time.
We know there is no amount of money that will bring King back but it will help with the funeral expenses, unpaid bills and the cost of moving for Mary. Mary has been involved in community outreach for most of her adult life, and she is now asking for the community to support her in any way possible as she navigates through these next few weeks and months. If you do donate, please leave a message or memory. The kind and uplifting words will bring a smile to her face.
“Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy” -John 16:22
