King Family House Fire Recovery
Donation protected
On Friday, April 5th - a night filled with daddy-daughter dances and mother-son nerf wars - the King family’s life drastically changed when they received a phone call that their house was on fire. In a few short moments their house became uninhabitable and a large amount of their possessions were destroyed.
Fortunately, nobody was home, but sadly they lost their two beautiful golden retrievers - Bentley and Lexi. They are greatly missed and were such a huge part of their family.
Our hearts break for Jeremy and McKenzie, especially for their three young children - Tatum (5), Lawson (3), and Brooklyn (1). Their lives have been flipped upside down. An event like this steals their sweet innocence as they realize this is their new reality.
Not only was the King home destroyed, but also McKenzie’s home office, which was on the second floor. McKenzie is an amazing graphic designer that specializes in wedding invitations. Her business is the backbone of their income, and after assessing the damage, all of her necessary equipment was destroyed in the fire.
I am asking that we come together as a community to help carry some of their burden and donate, no matter how big or small, so that they can replace some of the things that they lost. No amount of money can ever replace the memories, keepsakes or cherished pets that were destroyed…but it can help take some of the crushing pressure off of them.
