King Family Donations

Annie Lachney and I are fundraising for the King Family.
Gus King IV is my best friend, and he attended the Arkansas School for Mathematics and Sciences with me. If you have ever had the pleasure of spending time with him, you know that he is easygoing, kind, and funny. His wife, Kathleen, is a special educator/developmental therapist. Gus and Kathleen have three children: Kora (10), Gus (6), and Roland (6). I have seen him and his wife struggle immensely to make ends meet for their family. He is humble and never asks for help even when everything is falling apart.
The twin boys were both born with congenital heart defects that are directly related to them having Down syndrome. Gus and Roland have combined for 200+ days in NICU, a month in CVICU, and three heart surgeries. If you saw the amount of effort and energy required to take care of their children on a daily basis, you would be amazed.
Gus IV had a sledding accident which caused a torn rotary cuff and two hernias for which he has yet to receive medical care. He also has high blood pressure, heart arrhythmia, severe sleep apnea, carpal tunnel, and tendinitis. He has developed PTSD as a result of multiple losses and the multiple times he did not know if the twins would survive surgery.
Annie and I have contributed a considerable amount to the King family in the recent past, but it is not enough. They are still drowning in debt and recent expenses. The King family has tens of thousands in credit card and medical debt with exorbitant interest rates. Recent expenses include a plumbing emergency, furnace repair, car repair, and overdraft fees.
Suggested donations are 10/50/100 dollars. Those of you who are in a good position financially are encouraged to donate as much as you feel comfortable doing.
