From organizing statewide and national prison strikes to filing groundbreaking class-action lawsuits, Kinetik has dedicated his life to exposing injustice and fighting for the dignity and rights of incarcerated people.

His courage has come at a steep personal cost. Kinetik has endured severe retaliation for his activism—including a brutal beating by officers that left him with permanent damage to his eye. He has spent nearly 11 years in solitary confinement, often as punishment for speaking out.

Still, he has never stopped fighting.

Most recently, Kinetik appeared in The Alabama Solution, a powerful documentary exposing inhumane prison conditions, further amplifying the voices of those often silenced. This was presented by HBO.

Now, Kinetik is not only fighting for the rights of others—he’s fighting for his own freedom.
