Kinetic Imaging Senior Show

Kinetic imaging is a department that as its name would suggest is always about art with motion. From Animation to video to sound, performance, installation, programming, robotics, interactive, web, video games, etc the department encompasses a wide array of media and practices however the continuous thread that connects all work made in the department is motion, even when its not as apparent in some circumstances.

The senior exhibition would encompass all of the disciplines practiced by the members of the class, but also celebrate their individual creations. As a department we tend to split between the ideas of ‘fine art’ and ‘industry application’. Ideally, both circles and those who fall between them would be given equal respect and representation in the show.

In past years we have seen our upperclassmen’s shows, and we feel that the space and presentation did not do their work justice. We want our work to be held to a higher standard than was met by the space that the upperclassmen were provided.

This year we are asking for donations to achieve this goal. In order for us to have this respect and representation, we are seeking a space and the equipment necessary to fulfil this requirement. Any contribution received would go towards making this a reality.
