Kindness at Bat: Help Kingsley Replace What Was Stolen
Hi everyone, my name is Jason, and I’m the proud dad of a 9-year-old ballplayer named Kingsley.
On October 16th, someone stole Kingsley’s 2024 Easton Hype Fire bat right from our front lawn in the Connaught Park/Division area of Oshawa. It might just look like a bat to some, but to him, it was something truly special.
Kingsley had saved up half of the money himself, using birthday and Christmas money over time to buy that bat. It was his everyday gamer, the one he used in every single practice and game. It’s the same bat that helped him hit six home runs this past season, and more importantly, it was his first real bat, the one he trained with day after day, building confidence and memories that go beyond the field.
I’m not someone who usually asks for things like this, but when Kingsley looked at me and asked if it would be possible to start one of these fundraisers, I told him honestly, “I’m not sure anyone would donate… but we can try.”
So here we are, just giving it a shot.
We’re not expecting anything big, but if you choose to help, whether by donating or simply sharing this link, we’re truly grateful. Every bit of support means the world to us and shows Kingsley that even when bad things happen, there are still good people out there who care.
Thank you so much for reading and for helping us keep his love for the game alive. ❤️⚾
All funds raised will go directly toward replacing his Easton Hype Fire bat.
