On August 6th, 2025, our beloved Mother, Margaret Gayle Howerton, age 79, went home to be with the Lord. Margaret touched countless lives with her deep faith, servant’s heart, unwavering love for family and fellowship. Born in Michigan and a resident of Bean Station, Tennessee since 1994.

She dedicated her life to God, Family, Singing and caring for others. Both professionally and personally bringing comfort, dignity, and joy to everyone she met. She was a longtime member of the Walter’s State Community Chorale as well as a longtime integral member of Mary’s Chapel United Methodist church in Bean Station- where she was assistant song director, served on the the Worship Committee, and enjoyed making homemade apple butter for the community. She shared kindness and Grace in all that she did.

Margaret was a proud mother to Mark, Angie, and Tracy. A loving grandmother to Matthew, Caden, Tyler and Alex. A cherished sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Her gentle spirit, beautiful voice, and devotion to family and faith leave behind a profound absence in all of our hearts.
