Kindhearted Family of 10 Urgently Needs Food and a Home with Running Water
❤️ Meet Roger & Riashalle and their big family
Roger & Riashalle live with 8 other family members in a tiny 150 sq/ft (14 sq/m) shack that has no running water, no kitchen and just one bed. They cook outside on a coal fire. When it rains, their home floods. Each day they drag home ten 5-gallon (20-liter) jugs of water so they can shower, flush the toilet, and wash dishes & clothes. But somehow, they are the happiest and nicest people you will ever meet.

❤️‍‍‍ Their kind hearts exceed their means
Roger & Riashalle have 6 kids, plus a 2-year-old granddaughter who lives with them and a young son whom they legally-adopted after discovering him sleeping on the street near their home; the boy's bio-mother had abandoned him and his bio-father is in prison.

❤️ Affording water & food is a daily struggle
Roger is disabled after a major accident at work doing deliveries via motorcycle; he has no sensation or strength in his left arm, and permanent muscular injuries in his right leg. He works as a dispatcher for just 300 piso per day ($5 USD.) His oldest 3-sons work labor-jobs for similar wages, while the other kids are all in school, and Riashalle takes care of her granddaughter during the day.

❤️ They have happiness and faith despite their challenges
Their modest home is always open to friends and guests; they do not have any food to offer people but their hospitality is genuine. They have a home filled with happiness and have faith that everything will work out for them.

❤️ You can help them bring that dream into reality today.
Our Goal is to raise $42,225 divided into 3 stages:

✅ Stage 1 – $7,320 Immediate food & necessities
This will cover water, food and basic necessities for 1-year for this family of 10, enabling them to begin to gain some financial stability.

✅ Stage 2 – $11,755 A suitable home with running water
With this support, the family will be able to move into a home that is protected from the elements, has running water and is reasonably-sized for 10-people. By providing this home, the family will be able to save their income and over time gain financial self-sufficiency, so they won't need future assistance.

✅ Stage 3 – $23,150: Roger & Riashalle will feed impoverished kids in their community
There are hundreds of families in their community who cannot afford food. Roger's dream is to run a business producing "lumpia", a healthier-form of vegetable spring roll that is cooked rather than fried. If we can help him start this business and cover ingredient costs, then he will distribute free lumpia and other food to the hundreds of impoverished children in his community on a regular basis.

❤️ Tax-deductible contribution
To ensure transparency, your contribution will be collected by the Techie Youth charity, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, and Techie Youth will disburse the funds to Roger & Riashalle, providing them with support and assistance as needed, to ensure that the charitable-goals are met. Any funds exceeding what is needed for this cause will be allocated towards other charitable Techie Youth programs.
