Kinderwatt: Powering Warmth for Ukrainian Kids

Help Us Keep Ukrainian Kids Warm This Winter

Hi, I'm Oleksandra (Sasha) Sydorenko. My family and I relocated to Ireland due to the war in Ukraine. Before that, I started a daycare in Kyiv called "Sova-Sova" for children aged 2-6.

Even with the ongoing conflict, many families in Kyiv need a safe, warm place for their kids. Right now, power outages last 6-8 hours at a time, and it's scary to imagine what winter will be like, with temperatures dropping to -10°C.

We need a generator of at least 20 kW to keep our 25 kids and 4 teachers safe and warm. The cost of the generator and installation is 450,000 UAH (about 10,200 euros), which we can't afford alone.

Your donation will help us buy this generator, ensuring the children have a warm, safe place to learn and play. Every contribution makes a difference.

Thank you for your support!

Below, I've attached photos of what our classes look like when there's no power in the daycare.
