Kindergarten Crush, Netflix- The Muddimans

Howdy Yall!

We are Joe & Kerry Muddiman, Soon to be addition Eleanor (Ellie) Muddiman due in August :)

We have had a few people reach out on messenger after the show "Say I DO" on Netflix to ask if they could donate to our projects getting our little castle baby ready and a little more comfortable.  (Episode 5)

We are humbly blessed and beyond words thankful for everything the past year has presented to us. We are now planning the next chapter of our lives.

Never one to ask for anything or help of any sort, we have not thought about a gofundme page. Someone from another country messaged us to gift us some money without any means in doing so. Hence leading us here. Such a neat idea to share some love! Ourselves and many others would be very grateful to receive any gifts to help push our dreams into fruition.  Even a message rather than a gift of money is so nice. Seeing messages from all over the globe that bring us a smile, share tears of joy or inspire us to help others is such an amazing thing.  We thank you all SO MUCH! :)

The smallest moments where we touch someones life in a positive way is never forgotten. Hopefully this snowballs into sharing a positive outlook everyday in any situation. "The Noblest Art is that of Making Others Happy" - P.T. Barnum.  Appreciating what you have and those around you is a form of true happiness.

We sought out to start our own little family in something affordable, making just over minimum wage. I told Kerry we could never afford a castle but I can build you one!

We saved up for years for a down payment and sold everything we could spare and bought an old train station/Farm house from 1860, and everything that comes with that! LOL. No HVAC, the whole place had 9 outlets and one closet. The last updates where from the 1950's. So everything had to go. Mighty wild project indeed, however this would enable us to get our creative juices flowing and build our own Disney dream castle. Super exciting, and thousands of hours of hard labor of love.

We hope by sharing our story, people find some joy and happiness in their lives and to share with others.

 THE STORY:

Joe and Kerry were one such couple. In episode 5, ‘Kindergarten Crush,’ we got to see their love story from their childhood days to their adult life, and it’s that fact that almost made us feel like we were a part of their perfect wedding.

Joe and Kerry: Say I Do Journey

Joe and Kerry met when they were just kids in the playground. They were best friends and inseparable, something which was also due to the fact that they lived just a street away from one another. Even their parents knew that they had something special in between them. However, when they were five, Joe’s parents had to move out of their house overnight and their relationship came to an abrupt end. Yet, life had other plans. 20 years later, they ran into each other where Kerry worked and their reunion led to a date that ended with a sweet kiss.

Shortly after that, the couple moved in together and started planning a life. They both love fantasy, so when Joe knew that he couldn’t buy her a castle, he decided to build her one, which included personalized rooms, a kiddie train, and a zip-line. He knew that she’d say yes to marrying him in a courthouse, but that wouldn’t do it for him. Kerry had made his life magical, so he wanted to give her the opportunity to live her dreams, as well. He saved for five years to buy her her dream ring and used a pumpkin box – which she had given to him before they had separated as kids – as its case.

His proposal was traditional but no less heartwarming, and after she said yes, the fireworks went off. Their 20s themed wedding and their clothes, just like their love story, was one of a kind. As the episode went on, we realized that this wedding for them was not just about making it legal, it was about creating a sort of magic in between them that would give way to the rest of their lives. The sheer joy and delight on their faces as they were celebrating their love in front of all of their friends and family made it evident just how important this was for them.

The wedding ceremony, Brent had booked a venue, just like the couple wanted. The decor was perfect, their wedding party also had a live jazz band, just like the '20s. They also had a champagne tower and an oyster bar at the party and a checkered dance floor. The dresses of the bride and groom as well as the food resembled elements of the era that Kerry loved. All in all, Joe and Kerry had been through a lot as a couple and watching them advance through the events leading up to the wedding was a beautiful experience. Watching them watch their dream wedding come to life in just seven days and the sheer joy and gratefulness that the couple exuded was a delight to watch.

As they said, “To infinity and beyond.” After their dream wedding on ‘Say I Do,’ Joe and Kerry have continued to make all their other dreams come true as well. They are still in love and they are still living in their fantasy land home, but the only difference is that now, they are also preparing to welcome a baby girl into their lives. Kerry has revealed that they have named their soon to be daughter Ellie and that she would arrive in the world towards mid August!

Their social media is used primarily to give us updates about what new renovations they are doing in their home and what it looks like now. And to be honest, after everything that Joe and Kerry have gone through, they deserve to have an at-home Disneyland as their safe place and they deserve for it to be perfect. They are a couple who genuinely believe in soulmates and because they were best friends first, we would be rooting for them at every step of the way.

 END:

We would love to continue to share our adventure with the world.   Any gifts will be used to update our little abode and make it a little more comfortable and baby friendly.  Maybe not have 1940s carpet in the bathroom, lol. replacing the molded drywall in the bathroom for the babies safety.  The Dream update would be to have HVAC so the days at home would be comfortable. Its crazy how much we under appreciate heating and air. Even using 3 AC units that we have had donated  on 90* outside days leave interior 80-85*. Fans run 24/7 all year as we have a propane stove in one room for winter heating. But we will post updates on Instagram and Facebook of progress and what every dollar goes to.  I hope people find some inspiration in the work. If you stay persistent and tell yourself your going to make it happen. it will.

For all Gifts/ donations we will write thank you cards and mail them out to whom ever we have an address for.

We can also send personal snap chats to thank you and say hello.
We may send you Signed photos from the wedding!

Even if a gift is not monetary, a message should you have been moved by the show is always something to look forward to.

We hope each and every person finds true love and happiness in your daily life and going forward. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

 Love the Muddimans  ")
