It is with great sadness To announce that Kind of Blue Jazz Band Will no longer be attending the 26th annual Deep Ellum Arts Festival Due to Insufficient funds we want to thank all of our fans who have donated and you have all been reached out to about the future of your generous donations but, with all that being said we still will be play on March 11th 7:00-9:00pm @ Wallace's Whiskey Room + Kitchen with special guest Tony Campbell for a general Band fundraiser money will go to studio time & our future Band cost All money will go towards are debut Album & feature Band cost Kinda Blue is an up and coming jazz combo from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Their unique sound has been groomed by local jazz greats. They have recently performed at events for Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto, Lisa Middleman’s Campaign, and the 2019 Monroeville Jazz Festival. Kinda Blue is inspired by Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock, Thelonius Monk, Artulo Sandoval, Buddy Rich, Tony Williams, Gerri Allen, Art Blakey, Ray Brown, Paul Chambers, Ron Carter, Jaco Pastorious, Dexter Gordon, and Joe Henderson. Residual funds will be used for Kinda Blue’s debut studio album, coming this summer.
