Kim (Tobin)Wright is our daughter who was diagnosed with a blood/bone related cancer called Multiple Myeloma last August. She, along with her daughter, Summer, have been facing some strenuous times in this battle.

In August, 2018 she ended up in ER when her back gave out.  This resulted in back surgery from a compression fracture in her vertebrae due to a tumor in her spine,  Testing revealed that this was all a result of the Multiple Myeloma.  She has been undergoing chemotherapy since then and will undergo stem cell transplant at the city of Hope in March.  She will be staying there through March and will be recovering at home through May.

This is going to require at least 3 months down time from work to start with.  She will begin a maintenance regimen after that to hopefully keep the cancer from coming back.

This is why we have decided to start this fund raising for her as her downtimes from work for her treatments and overall health issues are going to stretch her budget to the max.  Her out-of-pocket yearly deductible alone is in excess of $6,000 as well as cobra health insurance premiums while she is off work.

It is going to be a long and difficult road ahead.  Any bit that you can contribute to help relieve the stress of meeting living expenses for her and Summer as well as any other expenses that are going to arise from this diagnosis would be a great gift during these challenges ahead.
