Kim Wohlgemuth doesn’t have any hope of beating her cancer.

Her time with us is extremely limited.

Kim was a bookkeeper and started having back pain so she went to her doctor in September of 2013.  She was officially diagnosed with cancer in April of 2014, and had to quit work in June of 2014 due to the increased pain of the cancer, and the side effects of the treatment & medications.  She has pretty much been bedridden since then.  Her cancer is now in her lungs, spine, brain, liver and bones.  Her doctors told her last month she should get her affairs in order right away.

Kim's 25 year old son from a previous marriage is permanently disabled and lives at home.  Her husband Jim vows that his step-son is also “his son”, and he will always take care of him.   Jim needs to hire a lawyer so he and Kim can make sure Jim will have conservatorship to make decisions for the step-son once Kim passes.

Jim has been a mechanic at an independent automotive repair shop in Davis, CA for 26 years, and while he and Kim didn’t bring home lots of money in their paychecks, they were content.  It’s been very hard for them financially since Kim stopped working, but Jim hasn’t wanted to uproot Kim to a less expensive place to live during her illness.

Jim works a full-time job, takes care of Kim, his step-son, and manages all their doctor appointments along with everything needed to keep their household running since Kim became bedridden.

They do not have life insurance, or any insurance that will help with Kim’s funeral and burial expenses.

Kim feels guilty that when she passes, she will be leaving Jim with so much to deal with.  Your donations, good wishes and prayers will go a long way in helping Kim pass in peace, and enable her husband and son to try to move forwards after she is gone.

Any amount helps, whether in money, thoughts, prayers or kind words.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
