Hi my name is Kim. I hate asking for help because I know with everything going on right now everyone is behind. I have to though. Even a little would help.
I’ve been struggling with health problems for about 6 months. I have lost about 70-75 pounds in that time. I’m having tests done but in the meantime I throw up frequently. My tummy bothers me everyday. I am now in the process of seeing a GI specialist and having more tests. I have been diagnosed with colitis a couple of times but they are trying to figure out what’s causing that. I’m a server and I’ve had to lose so many hours due to this. I can’t even function, much less work some days. When I am able to work it’s so slow. Nobody is going out to eat anymore, which I completely understand. I also am raising my grandson. He is 11 years old. With everything going on he’s terrified to go anywhere. He has horrible anxiety. He’s so afraid ICE is going to take him because he has brown skin and I understand his fear because I’m just as afraid as he is for him. Trying to pay rent, bills, food, necessities I will always choose to feed him and when I have a little extra money pay something on a bill. As of February 1st I’m 2 months behind on rent. My bills are at least 3-4 months behind. My rent for the 2 months is behind $5000.00. My bills are about $1500.00-$2000.00. I’ve definitely reached out to churches and programs for help but everything is bone dry. I go to 2 food shelves a month. The food is less because so many people need help right now but I am so thankful for what I get. As I said everyone needs help. On top of that my 2013 ford edge quit working the other day. Unfortunately it needs a transmission and that price is completely out of the question.
My best friend, my kids dad, my grandkids grandfather passed away unexpectedly in January of 2025. That is such a hard hit to us. Again if you’re able to help that would be so nice. If not, that’s ok. I completely understand. Thank you for reading my story and stay blessed.
Thank you,
Kim
