Hi everyone,

Earlier this week, my sister Kim came down with what we thought was a simple virus. Within days, it led to sudden heart failure along with kidney and liver damage.

What started as a visit to urgent care for fluids quickly escalated to an emergency transfer to the ICU at Duke University Hospital. She is now under constant cardiac care while doctors continue evaluating the extent of the damage and determining next steps. At this point, they expect her to remain in the ICU for at least the next 10 days.

There are many heavy needs facing this family right now, and they truly need a community to surround them.

First and foremost, we ask for your prayers. We believe God is our healer and that He loves Kim even more than we do. We are entrusting her to Him and praying for complete restoration. Please also pray for their three young children, who are confused, scared, and unable to visit their parents. They don’t understand why this is happening.

Second, Jon is staying by Kim’s side at the hospital, which means time away from work and added financial strain on top of mounting medical expenses and emotional stress. If you are able, please consider giving to help ease this burden during such a critical time.
