Kim's Battle with Stage IV Cancer
Donation protected
Please Support Kim during her sudden unexpected diagnosis of Stage IV Metastic Melanoma. A very aggressive cancer.
One that few people face at 49 years of age.
If you have spent any time at all with Kim, you know she is a true force of nature! She is a loving and doting parent to 2 daughters and 2 sons along with their families. She has dedicated her life to caring for anyone she has ever crossed paths with. Her wit, charm, and sense of humor is second to none! She is one of the best nurses you could ever work with! Her patients adore her, and her colleagues have immense respect for her. She has spent 25 years working with the Brookdale Communities as an LPN, Charge Nurse/ Jill-of-all-trades. She also spent about 5 years working for Crossroads Hospice as a field case manager and then 5 years in various operational roles. Kim is that person who walks into a room and everyone gravitates to her energy. She can find humor in any situation and turn something dark into light. She has been a source of strength and positivity for co-workers, family, friends and patients.
She has an incredible support team of family and friends with her eldest daughter, Anita and granddaughter, Alana, her daughter, Randee, her son Christopher and his wife Jessica. Her youngest son, Noah plans to marry Kenadie soon. Her mom, Pattie Curtis and her bonus mom Carmen Leone have also been huge emotional supports. Her biggest fan and the love of her life is her husband, Chris. They started dating in 1989 and have been married since 2000. They have been true partners in crime every step of the way. Kim is a friend to everyone she meets and takes them in under her wing as family.
Now, it's our turn to support Kim in her time of need.
Despite the severity of her diagnosis, Kim remains hopeful and determined to meet her new grandbaby and stand proud at Noah’s wedding. However, the financial burden of medical treatments, travel expenses for specialized care, and everyday living costs are overwhelming. This is where WE can make a difference.
How Can You Help Kim? We are raising funds to help cover the following expenses:
• Medical appointments and medications
• Travel expenses to appointments and consultations
• Daily living expenses during this difficult time since she is no longer able to work.
• Any additional support needed for Kim's care and comfort
• Missed work for Chris while he takes her to appointments
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant impact on Kim’s journey. Your generosity will help alleviate the financial stress and allow Kim to focus on her health and well-being. Together, we can provide the support and hope she needs to enjoy her family and friends.
Thank you for taking the time to read a tiny bit of Kim's story. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign with your family, friends, and co-workers. Your support, in any form, is deeply appreciated.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Chris, Kim and Family & Friends
