Hello friends,

We've been very hesitant to create something like this, and it still feels strange, considering how outrageously generous our lovely community has already been, bringing a constant parade of flowers, home-cooked meals, loving cards, audio messages, and more over the past few weeks. However, it's an unfortunate reality that death is expensive in this country, and helped along by the urging of several friends, we've decided to put up a GoFundMe with the hope of offsetting some of the costs from funeral home & cremation services, a fitting Celebration of Life (most likely September 13), missed work to focus on family, and beyond.

Additionally, we're now pivoting to figuring out the next chapter for our amazing dad, Ricky, and the best way to keep him in the house for as long as possible in light of his continued fight with Lewy Body Dementia. This is still a new journey for us, and while we're extremely lucky to have a wonderful friend support network and a growing list of community resources, we also anticipate a number of medical and situational expenses.

And to be clear: you've all carried us this far with your generosity, creativity, kindness, and good humor, and we don't want any of you to feel any kind of pressure to contribute beyond that. Thank you SO MUCH to all of you who have made it exceedingly clear that you are there for us. We love you all.
