Kimela Franklin and Family
Donation protected
Our family is doing this fundraiser for our loved one Ms. Kimela Franklin for family and friends who wish to donate and/or bring awareness to this tragic event.
Kimela Franklin was murdered by a hit-and-run driver who fatally struck her with their vehicle on Slauson and Westen on the morning of November 23, 2022; Thanksgiving Eve.
The "MONSTER" who goes by the name of "MO" who fatally struck her was speeding in a dark grey Nissan Sentra with Limo Tint while carelessly trying to make a yellow light traveling northbound on Western Avenue after immediately crossing Slauson Avenue. Without caution of possible pedestrians in such a highly trafficked area, he struck her and ran over Kimela, breaking both her legs, shattering her pelvis, cracking her ribs, puncturing her lungs, and fracturing her back and neck.
This "MONSTER" hit Kimela so hard that she flew and landed almost 200 feet from where the initial impact happened, he then proceeded to make a U-turn on Western Avenue to return to the scene. A witness stated that he stood over Kimela while she lay there helpless, and then got back in his car and sped off without calling the paramedics.
The injuries were so fatal that Kimela's heart could not sustain the trauma to survive. The Lord took her home on the evening of December 8, 2022, and the accident has now been deemed a homicide.
Everything was caught on camera but unfortunately, it was too dark to obtain a license plate and there are no leads at this time. Therefore, The Los Angeles Police Department will be giving a $50,000 reward to anyone who can provide information regarding this case that will lead to a homicide conviction and bring Justice to Kimela Franklin by doing everything we can to prosecute the person who committed such a heinous crime.
Kimela is a mother, a daughter, a niece, a sister, a cousin, and a friend who was crossing the street of Los Angeles trying to make it to her next destination. She did not deserve to die this way.
We are all mourning the life of such a fun-loving, strong, and courageous soul. Those who know her, know her well, and can attest that every moment you had a chance to spend with her was impactful and memorable in a way that changed your heart forever. she will be dearly missed!
