Hi! I’m Kimber. Queer, trans, neurodivergent, and transitioning at 41.

So weird, these bodies we are tucked into. Mine needs tailoring. Really exhausted with hunching and hiding my chest. Ready to stand up more confidently!

At the time of surgery (December 28th!), I will be 9 months into HRT. I have struggled with gender dysphoria for as long as I can remember and now finally have arrived at an intersect in life where I have a strong emotional and physical support system. For the first time, it finally feels possible.

I’m a dog groomer and it’s very physically demanding with heavy lifting, so no worky for me for 2 months after surgery. Financial support is the last hardship on this journey and I’m now ready to accept that I can’t do this without asking for a little help. I figure that writing this is less difficult than the dysphoria I feel everyday…so here I am, reaching out.

Need to raise:

Cost of surgery - $7,800 not covered by insurance.

Living expenses for 2 months of recovery - $4,700
