The Award-winning Mighty Harper Longhorn Band was selected to represent the Great State of Texas at the 80th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor in Hawaii!  This amazing opportunity will allow these kids to experience history firsthand.  Our band will get to visit the USS Arizona Memorial, the Battleship Missouri, the National Memorial Cemetary of the Pacific along with several other iconic and historic sites.   Culminating in the opportunity to perform in the Pearl Harbor 80th Anniversary Commemoration Concert Series.  

The Harper ISD Band Boosters have taken on the task to get these kids to this once in a lifetime opportunity.  As you can imagine a trip of this magnitude is not cheap.  Currently our cost is about $2100 per child.  In an effort to keep costs for families low, the Harper Band Boosters, supported by our amazing directors Stephen Krupika and Sarah Rose, began working on fundraisers as soon as we received the great news.   We are diligently applying for grants and working to raise funds.  You might see our bake sales in Fredericksburg, buy pizza or pasta, attend our rummage sale, or join us at our music festival on June 5th.   We are also asking you to consider donating through this Go Fund Me.  The Harper Band Boosters are a non-profit organization that works to support our band program.

Please note that should our trip be cancelled, due to COVID or other reasons, we will utilize the donations for the Harper Band program needs (new instruments, uniforms, or other items).
