Kimberly’s Eye Surgery Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
My name is Joseph, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my wife, Kimberly, and our family. This isn’t easy for us to do, but sometimes life brings you to a place where you have to lean on the kindness of others — and that’s where we find ourselves right now.
Kimberly has type one diabetes, and as a result, she recently needed to undergo major eye surgery to repair a detached retina among other things related to her condition. She had her surgery on July 2nd, 2025, and thankfully it went well, but her recovery will take time. Her doctors expect that she will need to be out of work for 2 to 4 weeks — and that’s the best-case scenario.
Unfortunately, Kimberly will not receive any pay while she recovers, which means we will be relying solely on my income to support our family during this time. We just purchased our first home a few months ago — something we worked so hard for — and now we’re facing the real fear of falling behind on our mortgage and not being able to cover our basic necessities while Kimberly heals.
We’re raising these funds to help cover our mortgage payments and everyday expenses while Kimberly is out of work. This will allow her to focus on resting and recovering without the added stress of worrying about how we’ll keep the lights on or put food on the table for our family.
We know times are tough for everyone, so please know that any amount — no matter how small — truly helps. If you’re not in a position to give, we’d be so grateful if you could share our story with others who might be able to help. Your support, prayers, and good thoughts mean the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for reading our story and standing by us during this difficult time.
With love and gratitude,
Joseph, Kimberly, and Jordan
