Hi, my name is Kimberly Gainer. I lost my job on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. I was working as a cashier at Walmart for the past 3 years and was fired because I missed 5 days of work in 6 months due to illness. I am type 2 diabetic dependent on insulin and suffer major depressive disorder.

The final day was on Sunday when my blood sugar dropped to 53. I was shaky, dizzy and disoriented. A CUSTOMER helped get me to a chair before I fell. They allowed me to leave, but counted it against me. Now, I can't pay my rent, car payment or other bills, or get my medications.

This has caused me to spiral with my depression, having major intrusive thoughts that I am trying my best not to act on.
