Hi everyone! My name is Kimberly, and I’m stepping out in faith toward a beautiful opportunity that I believe God has placed on my heart.
This May, there is an Art & Faith Creative Retreat taking place in Bellagio, Lake Como, Italy—a time of rest, creativity, connection, and encountering God through beauty and community. When I first learned about this retreat, something in my spirit stirred deeply. I felt the Lord whispering Psalm 46:10 over me—“Be still and know that I am God.” For years, this has been a theme in my life, but in this season it has taken root in a new way.
I’ve been learning how to slow down, breathe, trust, receive, and see God in the small, overlooked glimmers of life. When I saw this retreat announced, I sensed His invitation in a way I couldn’t ignore. I applied for a scholarship, and even though I wasn’t chosen, God clearly showed me that the story wasn’t over. Two people donated toward my trip before the results even came out—such a sweet reminder that He is my provider.
Amazingly, the retreat director reached out and offered me a half-price discount, something she said she rarely does. It felt like God saying, “The door is still open. Walk with Me.” I took a step of faith, registered, and secured my spot—and now I’m trusting God for the rest of the journey.
This retreat is more than a trip—it’s a time of creativity, healing, rest, and growth. We’ll be creating art in breathtaking locations, connecting with other women of faith, exploring Italy’s beauty and culture, spending quiet time with the Lord, learning, journaling, and discovering, practicing stillness and receiving God’s love. I truly believe this experience will mark me in ways that will overflow into my marriage, my purpose, my creativity, and the lives I hope to encourage.
Although I’ve secured my spot, I still need support to cover the remaining retreat balance, round-trip flights, airport and local transportation, food and travel needs, GoFundMe fees, and a small buffer for unexpected costs. Every gift—big or small—is deeply appreciated and brings me one step closer to this God-led journey.
