Nothing ever prepares you for news like this. A few months ago my wife went to the Dr. to get an Indoscopy and colonoscopy. A few days later the Dr. calls an our lives were turned upside down. My wife Kimberly Dye was informed that she had stomach cancer (Adenocarcinoma) in the lining of her stomach. I will never forget that day and my wife looking at me with tears in her eyes saying "What if i never get to see my girls graduate high school . After several days of crying like babies everytime we looked at our girls. My beautiful strong wife got back to being positive and ready for the fight of her life.
My wife is so caring and always sees the good in everyone. She is such an excellent mother and hard worker. Kimberly is a Special Ed teacher at Fultondale High School and loves helping her students. She was so worried about taking time away from her students. She will be out of work for over 6 months . I see this unbelievable heart my wife has and i love her so much for that. She is so strong and staying positive with so many negatives. She has so much faith, hope and courage going through this adversity.
In the pictures of us above at the circus was our last family outing since finding the cancer. That night I looked over at my beautiful wife smiling, laughing and being the attentive mother she has always been. I thought to myself wow my wife is such a warrior. With all the uncertainty that comes with cancer there sits my wife being so positive. She knows what a long road we have ahead of us with all the treatments ,test, surgeries ,medicines ,emotional breakdowns and everything else that comes with this horrible cancer.
Kimberly is having surgery where they will go in and remove 60 to 70% of her stomach to get the cancer out.She will be put on a feeding tube after surgery. They will also biopsy the spots on her liver to see if they are cancer or just cyst. The list is a mile long of expenses we are taking on, medical bills ,drinks that she will have to be on for three months ,SCANS,Medicines, treatments infusions and with both of us missing so much work its getting tough to stay a float. We would never ask for something we did not need or would not be willing to do for someone else. Please pray for us and know that this go fund me account will help so much with our bills , stress and raising our two angels. We are truly overwhelmed and its getting harder daily.I love an truly adore my wife and want her to get the best medical treatment she can get ,so she will be here to watch her girls graduate High School. Thank you all so much for listening and for the many prayers .
