Hi everyone, I am April Wells and I am organizing this fundraiser in honor of my cousin Kimberly Nicole Williamson Thompson. Kim was diagnosed with Malignant Melanoma June 29th after surgery to remove a suspicious mole/lesion on her back June 16th. Sadly the cancer had metastasized to her brain, lymph nodes, and lungs. Kim’s surgery site became infected August 3rd and ultimately became septic. Within hours of being rushed to the hospital unresponsive Kimberly succumbed to sepsis. She was called home to Jesus August 4th, just 5 weeks after her cancer diagnosis. Kimberly was only 35 and a stay at home mother of 2 children, 5 year old Breanna and 9 year old Zachary. Her children were the light of her life. They were her everything. Kimberly was taken way too soon leaving the family devastated. Kimberly was an only child; she was very close to her parents and they helped Kim with her children as much as they could. They adore their grandchildren. Kim’s parents are in their 70’s and both are disabled. They will be taking care of their grandchildren and I would like to help as much as possible to relieve the burden of some of the expenses. They were not prepared to bury their only child at such a young age and raise her children. I would like to raise funds to help with the cremation and memorial. Any extra donations will go to Kim’s children. I need your help to make my efforts go further. If you are able I would love it if you could make a donation.
